bunnywarez is run by two bunnies: jovino and m. We enjoy playful, furry style, and strive to make our designs both fun and functional. We hope you’ll have as much fun wearing our creations as we do making them.

We’re always coming up with new ideas and designs, so be sure to check back often. You can keep up with our adventures on our journal, our email announcement list or on Facebook where we will post occasional updates, new product information, and announcements of shows and sales. We’re good little bunnies who would never share your info or spam you.

On the back of our label — in everything that we make and sell — is this statement: “Made with Love in Oakland, California.” And that’s the truth!

Bunnywarez is extremely proud to say that all of our garments are made in the U.S.A.

Not only is everything made in the U.S.A., but everything is made locally — either we make things ourselves, or we have them made by small independent businesses like ours.

Our primary sewing contractor has won awards for having an ergonomic workplace and the talented stitchers who work in her shop are compensated with fair wages for their excellent work. Our cutting house is right down the street, and is also a small, local company where the employees are treated fairly. We wouldn’t have it any other way! We make a point of visiting the cutting and sewing shops on a regular basis; not just to check in on production but also simply to say hi and let everyone know that we love what they are doing for us.

Our items are always produced in small quantities. Smaller production runs cost more per item, but the quality is better, and this also allows us to personally inspect every item that is produced for us. The end result is our guarantee of quality to our customers, to ensure satisfaction with every purchase.

Of course, our cost of manufacturing is considerably higher than if we were to send production out of the country, and our prices necessarily reflect this — although it is also true that our percentage of profit is lower than it would be if we simply had things made as cheaply as possible.

We don’t believe in succumbing to the “necessary evil” of having items produced off-shore in order to cut our production costs. In fact, it’s not necessary at all, and the downsides — beginning with, but certainly not limited to quality — are considerable.

Cheap goods only mean that somewhere down the line, someone is being robbed. Whether it is in the form of unfair wages, poor or unsafe working conditions, damage to the environment, or worse, someone is paying the price of those cheap goods. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated fairly. Buying locally and supporting small business is one way to help make this happen.

The benefits to our local economy as well as the U.S.A. economy are certainly worth it to us, and we can say with pride that every one of our products is Made with Love in Oakland, California!

There’s a better way for garments to be made. And that’s exactly how we are doing it.
